Daily encouragement.

Read the book of Philippians in the Bible and help children to use these 10  guidelines to glorify God.   Paul wrote this letter to encourage people to stand firm and rejoice regardless of circumstances.  Rule over your circumstances by God’s grace and do not allow them to rule over you! 

1.    Know and rejoice in the knowledge  that God initiates your salvation, He continues it and
        He will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ! – Phil. 1:6

2.    Live a life worthy of the Gospel – Phil. 1:27-30

3.    Let the Holy Spirit renew your mind through the Word every day so that you can let your
         light  shine like stars in this world – Phil. 2:15-16

4.    Have no confidence in yourself, but have confidence in knowing Christ and the power of His
        resurrection, sharing His sufferings and take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold
         of you.     Phil. 3: 10-12

5.     Know that with the Lord you can do anything – Phil. 4:13

6.     Rejoice in the Lord always – Phil. 4:4

7.     Do not be anxious – but pray with thanksgiving and make your requests known to God –
         Phil. 4:4-5

8.     Find peace in Yehovah-Shalom, our God of peace -  Phil. 4:6, Ps. 131

9.     Be “good” thinkers – think about pure, right, noble, true things– Phil. 4:8 

10.   Know that our God will meet all our needs according to His will and all the riches in Jesus
             Christ our Lord and Saviour – Phil. 4:19 
 

Only the believers can be great thinkers, because they have
   great things to think about!”  -  Ps. 8

1.   Die Heilige Gees gee vir ons geloof in Jesus Christus  - Rom. 8:16-17

2.   Die Heilige Gees tree vir ons in as ons bid – Rom. 8:26

3.   Die Heilige Gees versterk ons innerlik – Efes. 3:16

4.   Die Heilige Gees oortuig ons van wat reg en verkeerd is – Joh. 16:8-11 (1933 vertaling)

5.   Die Heilige Gees bewerk eenheid  1 Kor. 12:12-14

6.   Die Heilige Gees bewaar ons tot met die wederkoms – Efes. 1:13b-14

7.   Die Heilige Gees gee vir ons krag om te getuig en vir ander van Jesus te vertel. – Hand. 1:8

8.   Die Heilige Gees stort God se liefde in ons harte uit – Rom. 5:5

9.   Die Heilige Gees is ons Trooster  om by ons te bly tot in ewigheid– Joh. 14:16

10. Die Heilige Gees lei ons stap vir stap sodat ons in alles vir Jesus kan verheerlik – Joh. 16:13
