Hier is ‘n baie mooi verhaaltjie van robbins:  You may have read about some city workers in Hamilton, Canada, who were trimming trees along a certain street. In one tree they found a nest with several baby robins in it. They decided not to trim this tree until the nest was empty.
When it was abandoned, the workers returned. In the nest they found a piece of paper, along with dried twigs, the robins had used to build the nest for their babies. On the paper were printed the words, "We trust in the Lord our God!"
Wenke:

Quote from Spurgeon

Charles Spurgeon, the famous English preacher, wrote:  "What a mercy it will be if our children are thoroughly grounded in the doctrine of redemption by Christ!  If they are warned against the false gospels of this evil age, and if they are taught to rest on the eternal rock of Christ's finished work, we may hope to have a generation following us which will maintain the faith and will be better than their fathers."

LEARNING STYLES:

The earliest guidelines about learning styles are given in the Bible in Deuteronomy 6:6-7.  There God tells his children that the Commandments should be in their hearts and they have to impress them on their children by talking (auditory learner) to them about them when they sit down at home, when they walk along roads, when they lie down and when they get up.  Also to tie them as symbols (visual learner) on their hands and foreheads.  Also write (kinesthetic learner) them on their doorframes and on their gates.
When I studied to become a teacher in 1964, we were taught to involve as many of the children’s senses as possible when we teach them.  Let them see pictures or objects, let them hear your voice and different sounds, let them touch objects, let them smell things and let them taste or eat food that you are talking about.  Let them move around during the program, because they cannot concentrate for too long.
Each child has a different learning style and you have to teach your children or grandchildren in a way that they will all benefit from it:
A.    Your auditory learner learns better by hearing.
B.     Your visual learner learns better by seeing.
C.     Your kinesthetic learner learns better by handling or touching.
To find out which of the three styles children are, you can give them a word to think about and ask them what comes to their mind when they hear the word.  For instance what comes to mind when you say the word: CAT?
A.    Your auditory learner will hear a cat purrs
B.    Your visual learner will see a cat, perhaps his own cat
C.    Your kinesthetic learner will probably feel the cats soft fur

A.    Auditory learners tend to spell phonetically. They sometimes have trouble reading, because they don't visualize well. These children learn by listening and remember facts when they are presented in the form of a story, a song or a poem.
B. Visual learners learn by watching. They call up images from the past when trying to remember. When they want to remember a person’s name, they will think back of somebody that they know with the same name and remember it.
C.  Kinesthetic learners learn best through movement and touching. They like to find out how  things work and are often successful in the practical things, like woodwork, clay work, designing of clothes or machines, making of gardens, etc.

Knowing your child's best learning style can help you to concentrate on that learning style, but also to help him to strengthen the other learning styles.   Talk to your children when you are doing things.  Explain why you do things a certain way and ask them questions to make sure they understand what you are doing.

Pray that the Lord will help you and your children to have an open relationship.  Pray that you may have the ability and authority to share Bible truths to your children wherever you are and whenever you have the time.  Make time for family devotions where you can teach your children from the Word of God.

BYBELLES - GEE ALLES VIR DIE HERE

BYBEL-GEDEELTE:  LUKAS 21:1-4.
Glo jy in Jesus of wil jy Hom vandag aanneem?

Sing Joh. 3:16 op Stille Nag se wysie: “ John 3:16 (2x), for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but ha-ve everlasting love.”

Evangelism with the six colours of the South African flag

(5 colours of Wordless book of CEF plus blue colour)
1.     Gold tells us that we have a Creator God who lives in Heaven.  He made everything, including man.  He is our King and reigns over all.  He is a holy God who hates sin and  He is also a God of love – John 3:16
2.     The dark colour (black) reminds us that people are sinners.  We are born in sin because we do, say or think things that are against God’s will.  Romans. 3:23 says we are all sinners.  Sin separates us from God and makes it impossible for sinners to go to heaven.
3.     The red colour tells us what the solution to our sin-problem is.  God has to punish sin and He did that once and for all by sending His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  He died for our sins on a cross, He was buried and rose again after three days to show us that He had victory over Satan and sin.  1 Corinthians. 15:3-4. He gave his life willingly to pay the full price so that we can become free from sin.
4.     The clean colour (white) tells us that all our sins can be washed away, if we believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  We have to admit that we are sinners, confess our sins and put our trust in Jesus as our Saviour.  John 1:12
5.     The blue colour tells us that the Holy Spirit starts living in us the moment we put our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.  He dwells in us and teaches us how to live.  When we sin again, the Holy Spirit helps us to immediately confess our sins, He guides us to walk the right paths and He shows us how to become more and more like the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit controls our life when we believe in Jesus -  Romans. 8:9
6.     The green colour says as a child of God, we have a task to fulfill on earth.  We have to grow spiritually.  How does that happen?   1. By reading the Bible – God’s Word.  2.  By praying to God, my Heavenly Father 3.  By witnessing to other people and tell them to put their trust in Jesus Christ  4. By confessing sins 5.  By attending an Evangelical church with other believers. 2 Peter 3:18

May the Lord help you to be a witness and lead other people to Christ with the colours of the South African flag.

EVANGELISEER MET DIE SES KLEURE VAN DIE SUID-AFRIKAANSE LANDSVLAG:
(CEF se woordlose boekie plus blou kleur)

Prayer in Andrew Murray’s book “Holy in Christ thoughts”:
“Let the fear of Thy Holiness make me tremble at all there is in me of self and flesh, and lead me in my worship to deny and crucify my own wisdom, that the Spirit of Thy Holiness may breathe in me.
Let the fear of the Lord give its deep undertone to all my coming in and going out in Thy Holy Presence.  Prepare me thus for giving praise without ceasing at the remembrance of Thy Holiness, O my God!”
